Mount Street Gardens in Mayfair is one of London’s hidden gems. Tucked quietly in the very affluent neighbourhood of Mayfair in West End and off Mount street, these gardens are as well manicured as its posh residents.

First opened in 1889, these gardens are a serene getaway in the very busy Central hub of London.
I discovered them on my walk in the Mayfair neighbourhood.

Surrounding the gardens are beautiful brick coloured houses and mansions which make a very pretty backdrop. There is a chapel as well, however it was closed. Lots of benches in the gardens donated in memory of the residents.

How to reach Mount Street Gardens?
The gardens are located on Mount Street through one entrance and the main one is from South Audley Street.

It’s a treat to have a peaceful green patch in the hustle and bustle of the city. Even if like me you do not stay there but are exploring the neighbourhood, it’s really worth popping in here and enjoying this hidden gem.
Further from here, you can continue to walk around Mayfair. Stop at Coaches and Horses or Punchbowl for a pint and brunch. You can further extend your walk to St James, Piccadilly or Belgravia.
