Hi, I’m Sonal , a solo traveller based in London, quietly obsessed with the places most people scroll past on their way to somewhere more Instagrammable.
I travel the UK and Europe at my own pace ; off-season, off the algorithm, and almost always off the beaten path. You won’t find me queuing for the viral café or ticking off the most photographed viewpoint. I’m more likely around the corner in a three-table trattoria with a handwritten menu, wondering why anyone would choose the queue.
I’m a firm believer in JOMO — the Joy of Missing Out. Slow over rushed. Quiet over trendy. A hidden square over a famous skyline. The local place over the one with a two-hour wait and a ring light in the bathroom.

Why solo?
Travelling alone means every decision is yours; including the delightfully selfish one to spend three hours in a market no one else wanted to see. I’ve been doing it since 15 years and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Having said that, I also do quite a few trips with my partner as well which has its own share of fun.
