Both Gozo and Comino offer a unique and contrasting experience to mainland Malta, making them essential stops for anyone looking to explore the Maltese archipelago’s diverse beauty and charm.
I couldn’t agree more and made a day trip to these islands. While Gozo has a beautiful town center with cobbled streets and relaxed pace of life with boutiques and cafes to laze around, the island of Comino has untouched natural beauty with a blue lagoon to enjoy a swim or indulge some more water sports.

I am sure these pictures will inspire you to visit Gozo and Comino. They are just a ferry ride from Sliema or any other point from where you can catch a ferry. You can also sign up for water sports with one of the tour companies, there are plenty available. Its not only a great day out for adults but also kids. The swim in the sea green clear waters of Comino is simply awesome.
